"This gentle river of sound presents a perfect background for massage and meditation." (re: CD "Above the Sound of Gravity" - American Massage Therapy Journal, Winter 2002) "Flutes can be one of the most spellbinding instruments you can use for meditation and relaxation. Laura Nashman knows just how much to use concert, alto, and native flutes with her voice in order to bring about splendidly sweet results. It has many of the same qualities as the best space music; it paints a picture so large, that you can wander in and get lost for awhile, a sense of freedom guiding your explorations. If you ever imagined yourself wande ring around inside of a cloud, it might sound like this..." - NAV Magazine Summer 2001. "Ideal spa music for relaxation and rejuventa tion." - Nouvelle Maria Spa, King Edward Hotel Toronto For the "Above the Sound of Gravity" record: "Canadians, Laura Nashman and Michael Moon's transcendent 'Above the Sound of Gravity' CD is aptly named. It's soothing, light sound, created mostly throu gh Nashman's alto-, concert- and Native American flutes, and Moon's vibraharp, orchestra bells and chimes, add to the effect. The result is a dreamy melange of peaceful melodies. Listening will put you in a slight trance-like state, which seems to be the point; Nashman and Moon attempt to match the rhythm of their songs with the cadences of the brain. The vibraharp, a percussion instrument that has a set of metal bars arranged like a piano keyboard, similar in shape to a xylophone, is about as mellow an instrument as you'll find. Lilting and almost shy, the slightly harp-sounding tones blend well with Nashman's sensual and redolent flute playing. Most of their track names have dereived from nature, such as-"Woodlands,""Spirit Wind," "Moonrise," "Dolphi n Dance" (complete with vocal dolphin calls)-and they flow from track to track uninterrupted. This gentle river of sound, with slight swells and dips, presents a perfect background for massage and meditation. (Winter issue 2002 American Massage Therapy J ournal page 167) "The music flows gently and deeply through the body, spiraling beautifully with healing waves." (-Mary James, The Omega Centre) "This hour long CD is the perfect compliment to any yoga class." (-Cynthia Funk, Co-Director, The Yoga Sanctu ary, Toronto) "Ideal spa music for relaxation and rejuvenation" (-Nouvelle Maria Spa, King Edward Hotel, Toronto) "Listen and make a dimensional shift...be prepared to move in and out of reality (-Mary-Anne Sutton, Eternal Moment Bookstore) "Remember W hen CD" reviews -John Alonso and Orchestra "Remember When" takes you on a nostalgic journey through life, rich with its memories. John Alonso's heartfelt and magical piano themes weave through a lush orchestral setting. The romance of a lifetime. "A deli ghtfully refreshing stroll through the good times and pleasant memories of our lives" (-Ted Cox, Tower Records) "Another outstanding achievement for the Canadian music industry" (-Kerry Stratton, Radio Broadcaster, Classical 96 Fm) "The beautiful music t hat eminates from this CD will touch your heart and soul, as it did mine" (-Ken Davis, Ken Davis Music Int'l (Australia)) "Lullababy" CD- 'What could be more relaxing than an album of tranquil flute music? Laura Nashman's lovely collection of lullabies with pianist, John Alonso, soothe mom and dad, along with the little bundle. Nashman's playing is first-rate, and Alonso's airy keyboard accompaniment provides just the right atmosphere' (-John Hoffman, Today's Parent Magasine) Passionata CD "I love Passionata and listen to it every day, along with "Lullababy"' (-Jolene Anderson, Inner Oasis Spas) Dainis, of course you can abbreviate any of these quotes (esp. the long paragraph from the Massage Magasine. It is such a great article. If it doesn't all fit-please just use the first 3 sentences and the last one. Thanks. "Above the Sound of Gravity" by Gold-award-winning flutist, Laura Nashman and soundscape artist/sound healer, Michael Moon, is a therapeutic and magical musical experience for healing the mind, body, and spirit. Gentle waves of vibraharp meld delectably with soft breezes of flute, creating the perfect atmosphere for relaxing , water therapies, massages, facials and many other Spa treatments. Ideal for creating the 'perfect Spa at home' feeling. A unique combination of colourful and ambiant soothing sounds-flute, vibraphone, orchestral bells, quartz crystals-transport the listener to a heavenly place. "The music flows gently and deeply through the body spiralling beautifully with healing waves:-Mary James, The Omega Center, Toronto. 'Ideal Spa music for relaxation and rejuvenation."-Nouvelle Maria Spa, King Edward Hotel, Toronto. Spa Life Magazine-Winter, 2001 c
