Artist History Interview with Dawn Reese: I would like to say before I start this Interview, I would like to say how we met. This Business you never Know, You have to Hold on to that Brass ring when you see it, and as for Luke Thomas Up Rising Star, He was with the Post office at the time, and he was giving me all my mail, and he said to me, Are you in the Music Business, and I said Yes, I work with many People to Help talent, and Wella, I had his tapes and CD in a Day and WOW this guy can sing, and To show you talent, the real Deal you still have to have another Job, in the mean time as you are promoting yourself so lets interview him on how this all started and what has Happened sofar.... DR: Hello Luke, Thank you for taking the time to Interview out of Your Busy day. LT: You are very welcome Dawn ! ... DR: Luke How did you start in the Business, and what age did you start singing ? LT: I started writing songs in 1981 when I was 17 years old ... And since then I've written 273 songs .... Every day has been a small step in the direction of my dream. DR: Where are you from what City LT: I'm originally from Coon Rapids, Minnesota. DR: Now you have a Very Interesting Story, You Recorded you Own CD can you tell how you go about This as some people have no Idea LT: First I recorded 4 cassette tapes; "Beyond", "Music Never Dies", "Blue Champagne", and "Limitless Skies" ... from these 4 tapes I picked 10 songs that I thought were the best and made my 1st CD called "Wings To Your Dreams" in 1998 ... In 1999 I made my 2nd CD called "Shine" Which I think is much better than the first ... but some say they like the 1st one better. As far as paying for the production of these CD's is another story ... If you really believe in yourself ... you have to give ALL of yourself ... So ... I spent a great deal of money ... believing in my dream ... DR: are you working with a Record Company at this time LT: Not at this time ... but ... the recording world and music world is changing fast ... To have a "record" deal is NOT the big thing any more ... How many people are listening to your music ..how many radio stations are playing your music .. and how famous are you on the internet music world ... These things are the up and coming BIG issues. DR: I wanted to say I saw you with your singing Partner and It was very classy with The both of you, can you tell us where you are going to be singing around West Palm Beach soon LT: Right now I'm on my way to Brazil ... Life is taking many twists and turns right now ... One day at a time ... DR: Now I have to ask you this I gave you the tape of the Press room from the Pre Grammy Party, what did you think of the tape for New people that are buying my tapes, LT: The tape is really fun to watch ... and you give your audience a bunch of GREAT contacts... It's a GREAT way to get a jump start in this business.... That's why Pageants are so important ... That's my passion ... In whatever part of this great world we live in ... DR: Where have you Performed, is the last few Years LT: I've performed in Minnesota, Boston, Rhode Island, Ohio, Indiana, Missouri, Alabama, Illinois, Wisconsin, Florida, Brazil, North Carolina, Iowa ... busy ... LT: Right now I would have to say that "Kenny Loggins" is my favorite singer ... You can hear the words when he sings ... but yet he has GREAT passion in his music ...
