Artist History
Los Turbines was formed in July 1997 in Numazu, Japan by expatriates Aaron Walker, former vocalist of The Flying Chinchillas, David Ross, formerly of Cornell's Gamelan Ensemble, Doug Orme and Mark Levine. The band spent two years playing the club circuit in Japan. In 1998 the band appeared on the Japanese airwaves, played two natsumatsuri, or summer festivals, and were labeled "Japan's finest alternative rock band" by DOMO magazine. |
