Artist History
Kayonne Riley was the originator of the Orlando-based group, The Implications - which included the (now) New Orleans based singer/songwriter, Laura Freeman. The Implications self-titled cd released in 1993 sold over 3000 copies and received much critical acclaim. Kayonne and Laura parted company in early 1995 and since then, Kayonne has been writing, recording and performing in solo, duo and group situations. The evolution of Kayonne's music in this time can be heard as a transition from a folky/blues feel to a more groove-intensive, rock feel. |
