Artist History
I began recording music with drummer Chaz Clelland during our summers off from college. We recorded three albums together as Chaz & Kevin: "Love," "Dance, Rabbit!" and "Picasso's Crayon." Soon after our last recording as Chaz & Kevin, I developed a strong interest in the jazz fusion of Miles Davis. Chaz and I assembled a number of group-improv performances under the name Picasso's Crayon. After the last of these performances I formed the hard-rock group Heavy Medicine with two local musicians in New Brunswick, NJ. Heavy Medicine were regulars in the NB open mike scene. Soon I broke from Heavy Medicine and began performing solo, concentrating again on original material. Satisfied with my efforts (and embittered by my experience in graduate school), I moved to Brooklyn with my wife and recorded "Eddie Kite," my first solo recording featuring drum samples and simulated bass along with my guitar and vocals. I'm pleased with how Eddie Kite turned out, and am currently working on my next album, tentatively entitled "Coffee Stains." |
