Artist History
DEHUMANS beginnings originally date back to around
'95 as a garage band. Through many name and line
up changes their style of metal has changed
massively since there first demo under the name
of GIMP. DEHUMAN first appeared in the Canberra
live scene in 1996, with a first gig that grabbed
the attention of everyone in the venue and had
them asking, "Who is this band? " There '97 demo
'CRIB FOR THE LIFELESS" gained the band some well
deserved recognition at home and interstate, as
well some impressive reviews in well known
magazines and fanzines. Metal fans love the fact,
that here was a band, determined to be as heavy
as they can be, and this reputation preceded them
where ever they went. With the current line up
consisting of Geoff Bailey ( the only remaining
original member ) on guitars, Kieran Moon on Drums
, Dallas Bland on Guitars, Dan Marsden on Bass
and Damian Ferrari on Vocals, they get up on
stage and never fail to grab the crowd by the
horns and proceed to drill them with every ounce
of heaviness and audible violence they can muster.
Even non-fans of the style, recognize that they
are watching extremely competent metal band, that
deliver there performance with a hugeamount of
confidence and power. With a full length CD in
the works, DEHUMAN are intending to stir up the
underground in a big way and refine their live
performance to the point where anyone who sees
DEHUMAN will remember it as quite an intense
experience, and leave them itching for more. |

Press Reviews
Dehuman played the Boardy's infamous final shift and were the stand out band of the night easily. Their Sound was definitely the best, as the guitars were easily recognizable and heavy as lead. Their impeccable timing and lightning tempo changes are unbelievable, and combined with the deep, throaty roar of their vocalist makes them into a powerful force. The pissed drummer from one of the other bands was heard to say "Perfect Grind", and i had to agree.

Dehuman kicked off this gig on Finnigans
"Space Stage", and were pretty hard to fault as
their huge, thick wall of sound and trademark
guitar crunch pounded everybody's eardrums. I
know I've said this before, but their sense of
timing and tempo changes are so good that they
stand above so many other bands, and this gig
was another fine example of this. Aided by a
super tight rhythm section, their originals
were note perfect, whilst their Dissection cover
was very similar to the original
( "Nights Blood"- excellent choice of song lads.
