Artist description
Angry Brick were the originators of the LA Hip-Core scene in the early '90s, when heavy rock seemed to be going extinct. AB were on stage when Korn was in the crowd, wondering what they were going to do when they grew up. Angry Brick mixed funky urban rhythms with low-tuned guitar mania and hip-core sludge. That and the wildly expressionistic vocals of TRIBE, which alternated between screaming for dear life and whining like a constipated GenXer made for a revolutionary mix that would redefine heavy rock for the next decade. |

Artist History
Unfortunately, some people were more interested in money and fame than the music, and AB's protoges soon fell victim to the almighty dollar. Korn went on to superstardom, and Limp Bizkit went on to be...well, Korn. But AB didn't lick their wounds for long, regouping and further redefining the sound that made them influences in the first place. They decided that Korn's efforts weren't worth the effort of a response and they bided their time until their former protoges had taken everything the mainstream would give them. Now, on the dawn of the new millenium, Angry Brick feels it is the time to show their fans the world over what real hip-core is. |
