Artist description
Hard hitting and edgy to soulful and introspective hook-laden pop rock. Singer/Songwriter Amy Jarone ignites the stage with an an emotionally charged vocal delivery, a powerful presence and a fierce rythmic guitar style. Her honest realism blasts through to her expressive and prolific song lyrics and well to her captivating live performance. Amy is backed up on lead guitar by writer/producer Scott Bricklin(Bricklin(A&M) and Martin's Dam(Hybrid/Sire). Scott's exceptional and unique brand of hard hitting, melodic and multi-textured brand of guitar playing brings both depth and dimention to the band's traditional four piece line-up. On drums, Philly native Fred"The Red" Berman(Tommy Conwell) adds a powerful rockin' groove that gives the band it's danceable sound. Last but not least, the warm funky bass lines of Greg Mungen(we just like to call him "Mr Mungen") rounds out the bands live explosive performances. |

Press Reviews
Throughout her set, I was reminded of a number of different artists...Cheryl Crow (progressions & structure), Edie Brickell (observationally philisophical lyrics),Liz Phair & Lisa Loeb (vocal style & delivery) and Ani DiFranco (performance style).Amy is certainly not a derivitave of any of these artists,She has her own style of writing as well as performance. - Lucid Mucic |
