Artist description
I am a composer and musician. I play guitar, bass, keys some drums and some other stuff. I write a lot of music and I listen to a lot of music. I have been making my living for the last 10 years writing music and doing sound design for theater and film. I like trading listens with people and talking about it. I want to have fun with music again! NO DEADLINES! Just jams. Of course I still have to make a living... |

Musical Influences
That guy that used to come into the music store where I took lessons as a kid. He would hide in the back doing crazy chord melodies on this Gibson 335. He never said a word he just sat there and played with his back to everyone. Then he would leave. I thought, man there is always someone out there hiding under a rock that can kick the crap outa everyone. Him and George Clinton, Eddie Hazel, Michael Hampton, Ernie Isley, Prince, Clapton, Miles, Dizzy, Bill Evans, Oscar Peterson, Joe Pass, Jaco, ZZ Top, Led Zeppelin, Jimi, Max Steiner, Danny Elfman, Peter Gabriel, Nina Rota, Beethoven, Mozart, and on and on and on. I am influenced by anyone who is honest and committed. Like that blind lady that plays show tunes in all the piano bars and restaurants around my way. She can play anything you ask her to. She goes from bar to bar in a cab. That is real! I don't care for the music all that much, but she is tight. |

Artist History
I studied Jazz at a great school. I learned a lot about many different kinds of music. I continue to learn each day. My style is my own. I don't know how to explain other than I write what I hear. Some good some bad some a bit unnerving, but I always try to keep the FUNK in there somewhere!I have played in a lot of bands and they have played in me. Still searching for those cats that want to get it done for real. I have composed scores for over 150 professional theater productions. I have won awards and been nominated for a lot more. |
