Artist History The Greenville, NC based rock band is the newest addition to the artist roster at Deep South Artist Management in Raleigh, NC. Since Parmalee formed in 1998, the band has become one of the premier rock acts in the Eastern region. Regional airplay coupled with extensive touring of the east coast has led Parmalee to become a favorite in the local rock scene. The band has found much inspiration in their hometown and the local music scene. "Basically, for the past three years, we have driven out to a barn in this small town to practice, write and create music. We spend so many hours there each week that everyone knows us. Everything that we have created has come from this little place. We feel that it is a part of us and our music." The rehearsal barn is in the small North Carolina town, Parmalee. Hence the name of the band. Parmalee is currently writing and recording new material while continuing to tour the southeast club circuit. They have recently put the finishing touches on a recording session at JAG studios (Cry of Love, DAG, Backsliders).
