Artist description
Former half to the whole of Ottawa-based duo HARRIS & WORKMAN, Ken has hung up the cover
tunes to embark on a solo project with his own style of songwriting. Growing up in a pop-dominated city, Ken found time to

Artist History
Growing up in the Ottawa valley, Ken started at the early age of 11 singing for OBE Central Choir, lighting the fuse for a music
career that would tug at his tails for years to come. After learning basic music theory with several band instruments, Ken picked
up the guitar at age 15, and never put it down. After a semi-succesful tour with several area pop bands of the late 80's, he decided
to better his education and leave performing altogether. After over 10 years, opportunity knocked when a local duo with
fair exposure had parted ways, leaving Ray Harris without a partner...and performances lined up. Within just 3 days, Ken rose to the
challenge to learn the material and enjoy great success as a duo for the next year and a half. With growing family commitments, he has
moved on to a solo career to better suit his schedule and lifestyle. |

Press Reviews
Ken Workman is a wicked songwriter who's been doing tonnes of gigs around town and can be caught practising tunes on Wednesday nights open stage at Rasputin's. Powerful lyrics, great guitar player, a spot on voice and an awesome personality. Let's call him Steve Earle for short. - JULIE PERRAULT, ottawa musician |
