Artist description
Currently producing D&B as I've just got back into it after a 4 year hiatus from the scene.
When not writing/listening to music I tend to watch insane amounts of celluloid and devote time I can ill afford to playing online games. Rumours abound that my brain is soon due to be assigned it's own IP number. This has led to some people suggesting I may be the sole basis for "The Matrix". However, allegations that Edinburgh Techno producer Alan Parley is Morpheus have yet to be proven. |

Artist History
In 1992 Iain watson, aka tWiSt, began playing hardcore breakbeat after being brainwashed by the local pirate radio station. Always fickle, he settled on jungle and dnb after brief cold-turkey episodes with pure techno and Euro hardcore did little to relieve his breakbeat addiction. In 1997 his therapist suggested moving away from modern dnb, to concentrate on DJing old-school breaks and producing new music directly influenced by the sound.
When not listening to music, tWiSt is on the internet (unless asleep). His brain is soon due to be assigned it's own IP number. This has led some people to suggest that he may be the sole basis for "The Matrix". Allegations that Alan Parley is Morpheus have yet to be proven.
tWiSt has played dnb and old-school everywhere from Edinburgh (Future Primitive, Twisted, Rejuvenation) to the midwest USA, from slots on interFACE pirate radio in London, to the International Drum & Bass convention in France, and currently holds a quarterly residency in Switzerland. Future dates see him in Lithuania, Boston, and *ahem* Marchmont. |
