Press Reviews From Life to Death are a promising young act from the Quebec (Canada) hardcore scene. Bringing to mind bands like Prayer for Cleansing and From Here On, they pile on tons of mosh and a toughguy attitude with the melody and metal licks of Slayer. It's a great combination and one that should be employed more often in this dying off metalcore scene. The vocals are very deep, guttural and grunted. The music is always hard-hitting with tons of dance parts. I noticed that a lot of open E guitar riffs and rolling, galloping guitar lines. So throw some Iron Maiden into the mix when you try to picture this thing as well. For their first CDep, "Tribunal of Sins" sounds like a million bucks was spent on the recording and production. The album hits like a ton of bricks, which really helps with this style as thin recording take away from the mosh feeling. Cross the attitude of Madball with the melody of Unearth and you'd have From Life to Death. Their CD may not be incredibly easy to find due to being on a startup label, but I suggest you try your best to track this one down. Check out the Diehard Records website for more info.
