Artist description
The original Victorian Pub Pianists would keep a steady stream of tunes and songs flowing, while the Pub Landlord kept a steady stream of beer flowing in the Pianist's direction.
Dr. Busker continues the tradition to this day with his wide repertoire of songs to suit all tastes, including a large number of his own songs, accompanied with great skill on piano-forte and squeezebox.
Dr. Busker appears at many Steam Rallies and Country Fairs throughout Britain, and at pubs and clubs all year round.
The music of Dr. Busker is different to say the least, not mention varied. From old-time songs for all the family to songs that would make a rugby player blush, and all kinds in between, Dr. Busker has something for everyone. |

Artist History
Dr. Busker is, without doubt, one of the most unique musicians of his time. In his top-hat and tails, squeezebox in hand, he represents a bygone age when fizzy lager and the motor-car were unheard of. Steam engines ruled the road, Real Ale ruled the inns, and Britannia ruled the waves.
When Dr. Busker started out playing the piano it was to accompany film shows for the the Rushden Historical Transport Society, who later purchased a piano for their social club bar to enable the society to have 'singsong' nights. "It was at this stage," states Dr. Busker, "that I discovered a liking for beer." As he was invited to play at other venues, the invites were accompanied by offers of more beer. |
