Artist description
The Direction alternates between the songs of Brian,
(surely one of the greatest lyricists in modern
rock n' roll, imagine a marriage of Bob Dylan's
lyrics with Pete Townshend's songcraft) and Brett
Vargo (with the pop smarts of Lennon/McCartney,
The Byrds and The Zombies). Shayne's remarkable
guitar playing is reminiscent of Jeff Beck, Keith
Richards, and Johnny Thunders. |

Artist History
Brothers Brian, Brett & Shayne Vargo have been
playing together in some combination for the past
12 years. Rooted in their lifelong Beatles
obsession, Brian and Brett began writing songs
fervently in their teenage years. They have
amassed thousands of songs combined. The Direction
formed in 1997, and have self-released four albums:
"Park," "Follow The Direction," "The Pop Culture
Toilet," and "Sequences." The compilation
LP "It's All Too Beautiful" covers these albums.
The band is currently seeking a drummer for live work, and is meanwhile in the
studio recording. |
