Artist History
John Lacey has been writing and performing music since 1995. Renowned as a talented keyboard player and a competent drummer, John discovered that his real talent lay in writing. He formed the band, Misnomer (www.mp3.com/misnomer), in 1999 and has had notable success with them, achieving over 200,000 MP3 downloads on the internet and performing live in front of thousands on a number of occasions, most recently in supporting Mel B/Chesney Hawkes at the Oxford Revolution (www.oxfordrevolution.com). John's material has been used in film and TV by such companies as "ManDancing Productions" and "BeatLessons". He has received a number of awards for his music: His track "Take November" was voted "Best Chill-out track" on Garageband.com and his industrial number "It's all for you" has had over 50,000 MP3 downloads. In the future, John plans to keep working with Misnomer, whilst also writing and recording material for his forthcoming solo album. |
