    Artist History
Dregar Casino, was born April 20, 1982, in Bombay, India. When he was just two years old, his mother and father had been able to obtain sponsership from relatives living in a far away country called Canada. What this meant for young Andre, was that his world was soon radically going to change and he was to move to the young city of Toronto. The transition from India to Canada, was a slow one, from Andre's humble beginings in a thrid world country to the very privaleged lifestyle of Canada, Andre and his family had to adapt. Andre says, "Yeah when I was little, I was very shy, and I hated this country." His hate for this country grew from the frustration of racism he experienced in school. However, Andre was very entertaining, once you got to know him, and this caused for a few of the children to even stick up for him. Andre describes his oppression, from what he saw in India and what he see's in Canada, as being the "fire in his belly", the sole purpose Andre became Drega. Andre started rhymen' when he was 12 years old and went by the name Diggy Dre, whose high-pitched voice and "sing-songie" flow and "pimp and hoe" type content was reminisant of Snoop Dogg and Slick Rick. "I always liked flowen' 'bout girls, most of my first rhymes were stories about older girls, who would tell me I was sooooooo cute." After a while though Diggy Dre, thought that it would be impossible for a brown guy living in Canada to make it, and young Diggy Dre, turned into Dj Dre Diablo. "I liked putten' out mixtapes for my street, me and my man, Suri, were jus doen that shit for fun." Creating these mixtapes gave Andre the idea of producing, in which was to be his next endever. "I started producing from this little keyboard I had, and my knowledge of how beats came together was jus from beat-boxen as a youth," Andre says. This lead him to computer software, he 'borrowed' from the internet, and with alot of persistance, Andre started producing his own beats. "Yeah, my first beats were garbage, my friends would get laughs from my beats, but I guess that was good, cause it made me work even harder." With the production and mixtapes going on, Andre still would dedicate time late nights to doing what he loved most, writing rhymes. An mcee was soon to be born. "I had been rhymen' for so long, I had gone through a couple of flows, and at that time, my flow was very fast, and my voice was tough as fuck. One day, one of my partners was producing his own little mixtape, and was like, 'yo dre speak on this', and I jus spit whateva thinken my voice was garbage, and then I heard the playback, and I was like damn my voice sound like this." This was a major confidence boost for Andre, who simply named his rap persona Drega. "Yeah Drega, basically evolved from graph I used to do, I would tag myself as Dre g. a. meaning Dre (my nickname), g (my lastname) and a (my first name). I also added Casino, cause this rap games like a gamble, it's unsure if you gonna leave with the pot at the end." This mentality perfectly came together, to give Andre the confidence he needed to become the mcee he is today Dregar. Now only 19 years old, Dregar as his eyes and heart set on the game. With his main click being the Fourtune 500, as well as various affliations with other clicks in his area, Dregar's underground as well as mainstream popularity is undenible. Dregar says,"I know it aint my time yet, cause I got a few mo years to develop my production skills, cause when I come through, I want them to be like wow, I want my ish done right or not done at all, ya heard."
