Atumz Eve Bio 2003
(Pronounced A-toomz Eve)
Atumz Eve formed in 1999 but has roots stretching back to 1994. At times melodic and others brutally heavy, the Atumz Eve sound is reminiscent of what would happen if Tool and Pantera met in rural Alberta and fostered a legion of illegitimate children. It combines Gord Johnson’s heavy riffs and soaring solos with Scott Jeffery and Nathan Renaud’s tight and thunderous rhythm section to provide a musical maelstrom over which Jordan Carriere sings, screams, growls and shrieks.
The result of their formation was their debut EP Promise released in September 2001 to critical acclaim and receptive audiences. To date it has sold almost 500 copies and spawned a clothing line of Flex-Fit hats, T-shirts, ¾ length baseball shirts and girls baby T’s.
Atumz Eve’s heavy, dynamic, passionate live show has proved to be the perfect forum to showcase their ever-developing sound. Bordering on chaos their energetic live show is an intense, ear-splitting assault on the senses that has to be experienced.
The new album RE:birth incorporates Atumz Eve’s heavy yet melodic sound into a new realm, dealing with different time signatures and a more mature sound. Released in June of 2003 RE:birth is already drawing rave reviews. From the pedal to the medal opening of Seizure to the kick you in the teeth riff and melodic chorus of 3 Days to the epic feel of RE:birth and the vulnerability of the closer Pain Beneath Pain, this album runs the gamut of modern and classic metal.
