Artist History
Started in early 2000 when long time pals Matt and
Rash formed a punk band with Steve and Daniel (now
of TheRecordTime). The band went by the name Erin
Has Two Boyfriends. After about 4 practices and
no shows, Matt decided it was too punk for him and
Steve and Daniel decided they liked playing songs
about mathematics, so the band was no more. Matt
and Rash eventually began playing again, this time
under the name, Woodward, named after Rash's nerdy
middle name, and enlisting the help of Jeremy on
an instrument he didn't play, and Kyle, to fill in
on drums till they found a permanent drummer. Now,
two years and five practices later, Woodward still
hasn't really made that impact that they thought
they would. But the songwriting just keeps
getting better and better. With Matt citing
influence from the Beatles and the Beach Boys,
Kyle from AC/DC and Raffi, Jeremy from Alien Ant
Farm and System Of A Down, and Rash from Elliott
and Death Cab For Cutie, one thing is for certain.
Only Matt and Kyle are allowed to write music for
this band. |
