Artist description
Wayne Austin was born in Duke, Oklahoma, where his grandfather was a cowboy in the "Old West." He participated in the Oklahoma Land Rush and drove cattle on the Old Chisholm Trail. From him, young Wayne learned to love the lore and the songs of the cowboys. As a youngster, Wayne was a fan of the silver screen cowboys and the western music written for their movies and recordings.
