Artist description
Totenhaus was founded out of necessity in the wake of Autumn, 2001, by members Khristquäler and Totgeburt. It's purpose is to incite a return to traditional, raw Black Metal. To prove once and for all that Black Metal in its rawest form is still the most powerful and the most atmospheric expression of the art-form. Totenhaus has vowed to prove this truth to any like-minded thinkers and to all of those opposed.
After the band's inception, Khristquäler immediately began writing music with Totgeburt as well as lyrics. The songs were written rehearsed and on a small scale, performed. However, the little exposure Totenhaus has had has been met with surprise and awe. Those converted have predicted a Black Metal reform, the likes of which were perhaps not expected to be realised, especially coming out of the US.

Artist History
Khristquäler was born in Upstate New York, USA. He then moved to Germany, then to England, visiting many countries all across Europe, Asia and Australia. He returned to the US in 2000.
Totgeburt was born and raised in Brooklyn.
The two met in a small Upstate New York town called Annandale on Hudson. The band formed in the wake of the Autumn season, 2001. Unfortunately, the band has not had time to record their full debut album "oderint dum metuant" due to unavoidable circumstances. However, the intro track to the album can now be heard here on this site.
The band is still looking for a full-time drummer. Anyone interested, contact QuintG79@aol.com |
