Artist description
Whether telling a poignant story or poking fun at some of our more hallowed institutions, Nancy's songs illuminate modern American life. Nancy was raised in the metropolitan New York area and now lives in Maryland. She was a member of the trio Venus Rising, recipient of the 1997 Washington Area Musicians Association award for Best New Artist as well as nominations for Best Contemporary Folk Group and Best Debut Recording. Nancy's new CD, "Be My Mirror," combines sophisticated pop, contemporary folk, rock, and rhythm & blues. Poetic yet direct lyrics, beautiful vocals, and fine instrumental work make "Be My Mirror" an exceptional solo debut recording. |
