Artist History Named for the highway that traverses the band's rehearsal studio in Vista, California, West 78 is Kerry Bell on lead vocals and guitar, Brian Donaldson on lead guitar, Steve Strong on drums, Andre Vanlooveren on Keyboards, and Ted Trepinski on bass and vocals. Akin to the artistry of Govt. Mule, the Dave Matthew's Band, Counting Crows, the Spin Doctors, Barenaked Ladies, Ben Harper, Huey Lewis & The News, Nick Lowe, and Billy Joel, The West 78 band melds working class appeal with hard rock, alternative pop, jazz, and rhythm & blues.

Group Members Kerry Bell (vocals & rhythm guitar) Kerry began song writing in New York City while attending high school. He wrote while back packing in Africa and Europe. He wrote the year he lived in Paris and played drums for the Twinkees. He wrote songs while playing all of the east coast club/college circuit. Kerry has formed several successful groups in the past and gained performance and recording experience in Paris, London and New York. Brian Donaldson (lead guitar) Brian has been playing since he was a youngster. He has studied electric and acoustic guitar formally and is a songwriter. Brian served in the military and while serving his country continued playing and writing. All in all Brian has been playing live with musicians consistently throughout his life travels.
