Artist History
In the seventies, when all genres of jazz boundaries were being redefined, Charles descended on The Big Apple. What makes him unique as a jazz personality is the grade of artist he has played with. When one browses through his bio, one quickly senses the mastership of his collaborators. The group leaders who’ve enlisted Charles as their pianist are the die hard, center root of creative innovators. These cats live for their music, for the creative process of jazz, and are “musician’s musicians”; giving their lives to the art form. Another common thread that ties them together is the lifeline that they recognize in Charles. He is an artist who will not compromise musical quality. |
