Artist History We started off as a 7 piece( 2 bass,guitar,2 vocalists,drums,keyboards) in September 2001. We wrote 5 songs and recorded them, released it ourselves, and we then planned for summer tour, we toured with our 5 song self released ep as a 6 piece (minus one vocalist). After tour we parted ways with one of our bass players(seth Dekkenga) and our drummer(Josh boyd). With the line up consisting of guitar, bass, keyboards, vocals, we spent all winter writing our new record for Winter in July records. Before finishing the new record we found a new drummer Brandon Aegeter, we finished writing played a few local shows, and recorded in minneapolis @ Analog Electric. We have now parted ways with Brandon Aegeter and are searching for a new drummer. We still plan on touring this summer of '03 and our new full length will be released on Winter in July records. Our first 5 song ep will be re-released by our friends at Framework records. We will also be releasing two unreleased songs of older material at a later date, perhaps on a 7 inch.

Press Reviews heart attack #34 / sinking steps...rising eyes *cd / Sinking Steps... Rising Eyes play screamo hardcore with a melodic backbone. This CD recording reminds me a lot of The Assistant in the way it vacillates between chaotic hardcore and sweet unison. The five songs on this CD are heartfelt anthems about a person's place in the world. They have lots of members working towards the overall sound, which comes together and falls apart in all the right places. Very sweet.
