Artist description Hg is the result of many years of hard work, and musical karma. Fusing the influences of early 80's metal, modern electronic influenced music, and hard rock from over the ages. Hg, coming from multiple eastern Indiana cities, is here to prove a point. Refusing to be pigeonholed into any certain genre, they have found a way to transcend all popular genres. Hg has successfully combined, metal, rock, progressive, and East Coast hard core to bring forth a new sound in this age of musical stagnation. After only playing a couple of shows, Hg has managed to find an almost cult like following. Their fan base is the fourth man in the band, constantly singing, and adding a nuance that is impossible to try and recreate. Hg is a presence on stage that is second to none, as they demand absolute command of the crowd without ever saying a word, or playing a note. Accepting the fact that they are going to be outsiders at times, Hg has decided to stray away from the popular sound of most local bands. Their sound is not punk, not heavy metal, and not your average run of the mill pop songs. What they are, are three musicians that make music that will speak to you on several different levels. Emotional? Yes. Heavy at times? Yes. Commonplace? Never. There is no question that Hg is, and will continue to be a force in the musical arena. They have been planning, doing their homework, and doing things the right way. There is nothing to stop the train that is Hg.
