Artist History
The Lowbellies recently made it to the finals in Tech Rocks 2001. After defeating seven (six?) other bands in our qualifying week, we returned to the Hard Rock Cafe at the Corel Centre for the finals. With a bevy of talented bands to compete against, our fate was not helped by the fact that Clark had hobbled himself the previous week in a botched landing after one of his trademark leaps. We put up a fight but were bested by Bubbles Cash and the Rhythm Method, a band fronted by "ringer" Louise Reny, who sang for One 2 One in the eighties and Sal's Birdland more recently. The Lowbellies completed a recording session at Ottawa's Distortion Studios and are currently working on an EP to flog to the masses and college radio across the country. |
