Artist description Currently, Thillét is quietly constructing her own project while steadily working on the New York City Music scene, working with bands such as Digg Deep and Nappy Head Funk Army. Boston and Connecticut audiences have occasionally been treated to Thilléts live vocal performances with the band Mothers Favorite Child. She has also loaned her voice to recording projects for various artists. Her most recent studio performance can be found on her single Baptism by Fire and on The Electronica Files - Jimi Hendrix Dossier CD. Wherever you are, be sure to keep your eyes & ears open – if a petite young woman in the corner suddenly gets up and tears the roof of the joint with a thumpin version of an ol school funk track, chances are that is Thillét, turning your head.

Artist History Thillét has been singing ever since she was a young girl. Did not even need any accompaniment back then; give her a chance and she would just start singing. Her style was a blend of the many genres of music that influenced her; from Soul and Rock to Alternative and R&B. Eventually, she became lead singer for a NYC funk band called Deep Pocket – a group that also offered her an outlet for her talents as a lyricist. Though it was her first live band experience, she easily rose to the challenge of singing a more aggressive music in front of a big, loud band and blossomed into a captivating performer. Watch her perform live and you see someone completely comfortable on stage, in the spotlight and in the moment. Many are amazed by her ability to wrap herself within a song, transforming from 'sweet & sultry' to 'hot & heavy' in a few blinks of an eye. The music clearly feeds the energy inside her and she happily reflects that energy back to the audience.
