Artist History
In the winter of 1997, the roots of Mission Cricket Invasion began to develop in the form of a post grunge band called Attic. Attic was in existence for approximately one year before it evolved into the experimental hard rock band Flying Mexican Dick. Flying Mexican Dick was composed of Matt (drums), and two of the former members of Attic, Eric (bass) and Derek (guitar and vocals). Flying Mexican Dick grew in underground popularity throughout the next 3 years as a result of extremely explosive (literally) performances along with truly original music. In December of 2001, a decision was made to change the name of Flying Mexican Dick to Mission Cricket Invasion (Invasion of the Noise). With the name change and new music, this Huntingdon, PA based band has set out to distribute their music to the masses.
Mission Cricket Invasion entered the studio on December 28, 2001 and recorded their first EP entitled John Star Power. This recording contains 4 songs which represent all phases of the bands development.
With the EP now in hand, it is time for the cricket to grow.
