Artist description
John Biz disregards traditional artistic boundaries by pouring out his soul to the world like a river flowing into a sea. His original rock and roll cocktails erupt with color, rhythm and soul. The music is catchy and powerful; an honest and real sound reminiscent of the classic rock era but clearly an innovative and formidable voice in contemporary rock music.

Artist History
some people have it and some people don't...
i don't have any time or energy for all these lame fashion show bands that fail to put their soul where their music is. i've got love for the true blue musicians that wear their hearts out on their sleeves. they artistically weave a sonic representation of the deepest feelings in the soul. it's something that's so real that there's no denying it... it rocks you...it makes you want to fuck, it makes you want to cry, it moves you, shakes you at the core... it makes you want to step outside of your own skin and explode into the universe like a true free spirit. you lose all control over yourself, you spill into a sea of emotions and ideas you never thought you were capable of... through music you can reach God while simultaneously finding reconciliation for your own limited mortal humanity... imperfect, incomplete... SCREAMING to connect with the perfect energy... music is soul, and soul is like anything else...some people have it, and some people don't.

A Portrait of an Artist
He's a free spirit; a raging fireball of talent burning with defiance and raw energy. It seems he's always smiling about something he knows and you don't... daring you to stand in the eye of the brilliant hurricane that is his own private universe.
In the spirit of the greatest, he breaks the mold and emerges as an original voice for the bold new generation; one that finds itself suddenly immersed in a post September 11 reality check. He is living proof of the rejection of the regurgitated plastic sound that the corporate giants of the music industry have been force-feeding you through single portions that llack originality and substance leaving the listener fundamentally unsatisfied.
"This is the voice of rebellion. I'm just a regular guy who woke up one day and decided to live free or die trying. It is the death of the television and the rebirth of man; the realization that despite what you may have been taught to believe, you are more than a commodity. Your soul is not for sale. There is no soup kitchen spoon feeding you the 'American Dream.'Bob Dylan said it best... 'He not busy being born is busy dying'"
Make no mistake about it, John Biz is NOT the next (insert your favorite musician here...) He is a unique and timeless voice echoing the spirit and struggles of every generation. He is always pushing his sound further... digging deeper and deeper into his soul to produce the ultimate art.
Onstage, Biz effortlessly weaves the atmosphere. You feel his pain as deeply as your own. You fall in love alongside him... You find yourself willingly surrendering to his profound poetry and smooth commanding voice, yet you revel in the shattering pandemonium of a scream which trancends language itself, pushing you to the edge of your sanity - leaving you begging for more... His guitar sound is raw, innovative and rhythmic, locking into freely calculated aggressive grooves and tearing them up into a frenzy of harmonic energy. This artist is nothing short of extraordinary... masterfully balancing rhythm and dynamic in a bowl of intoxicating and melodic soul food. |
