Artist History Brene Wilson is an all original singer/songwriter who clearly stands out from the rest. His originality rushes through like a cool breeze of fresh air. As a self taught artist who started writing songs in the early 1990's. He creates his own sound and style. A style that can be described as mixing the smoothness of pop with the rawness of alternative rock. While you're at it throw in some cool acoustic groove. His voice is uniquely intriguing, edgy and soulful. His melodies are undeniably catchy, rhythmically and tonally engaging. All with just one guitar and one voice. In 2001 three of his original songs had reached within top 40 chart status on the popular music sites Soundclick.com and MP3.com. These and other songs were available as mp3's and were downloaded over 400 times. Brene has been a member of the Songwriters Association of Washington and is currently a member of the online music organization Just Plain Folks. He has performed at last year's Just Plain Folks 2001 East Coast Road Trip Showcase and was also one of the many performers at the S&L Productions Talent Showcase in Philadelphia in August 2001. He has recorded some vocal tracks for a local songwriter’s independent CD and is currently recording his own CD which is set to be available around Feb/March 2002. Brene is one of those artists that comes around only once in awhile. An artist that goes beyond the trends or current flavors of the month. An artist that creates music that is commercial but yet also truly unique in it's way. With a little luck combined with alot of hard work and dedication, Brene Wilson definitely will be known to the world as being such an artist.
