Los High Tops was born from the combined musical genius of "Hollywood" Lenny Fortunado and Ron "Le Rock" Corral.
Their recipe? Start with a healthy dose of Jump Blues, add a some Rockabilly twang, and stir with the motion of the Surfin' ocean. Viola! You got a rockin' party sound you can't beat.

Artist History
Los High Tops started in October of 2001 out of needs to bridge the Rockabilly, Blues, Surf divide. They have already played a number of shows and plan to have CD out very soon!
"Hollywood" Lenny Fortunato
Six string samurai and occasional bass player "Hollywood" Lenny Fortunado (he's not 38) has over 25 years of experience slapping and bending them strings. Originally from Boston, Lenny moved to the West Coast 15 years ago and has played with some major players on the Hollywood scene. Lenny's past includes:

Dubbed "Little" Ron by blues great Kenny Blue Ray, Ron Corral learned to play guitar at the tender age of 16. Since then, he's rocked and surfed and punked his way through the genres.
"Little" Ron has played or jammed with the likes of Mike Schermer, Andy Santana, John Lee Hooker, Little Charlie Baty, Tommy Castro, and the Groovie Ghoulies. His past includes:

An avid Blues and Roots player, Tissot has graced a number of the areas stages. It’s a good bet you’ve never heard of any of the Bands! Such is the fate of our nation’s purest original forms of music. His bands have headlined JJ’s, Henfling’s, and many, many other local watering holes, summer festivals and Fourth of July celebrations. Theater (musical and non) is a passion. Tissot is a board member of Gilroy’s Odyssey Theatre Company.

Hilary Hanes "Slap Happy"
Hilary's been boppin' on the bass in the Bay Area for the last 25 years. He's performed live and recorded with a number of legendary local and nationally known bands, including Pearl Harbor and the Explosions, Chrome, the Henry Kaiser Band, Vital Parts with Jorma Kaukonen, Annie Sampson, and the Soul Rebels. Also known as "Hilary Stench", his musical experience covers the gamut from pop to free jazz, industrial to the blues. As a member of Los High Tops, Hilary's bass playing brings new meaning to the term "slap-happy!"

Los High Tops To Be Featured At Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekender
Santa Cruz, Calif. -- January 10, 2002 -- Los High Tops, Santa Cruz and San Jose’s premier Rockabilly, Roots and Surf band announces their upcoming performance at Viva Las Vegas, the nations’ largest Rockabilly weekend festival, to be held March 28th through 31st, 2002. The band plays the 6:00 pm slot on Saturday night, the 30th of March at the Rockabilly Hall of Fame stage located at the East Lounge of the Gold Coast Casino, Las Vegas Nevada.
Viva Las Vegas is the Greatest Rockabilly Show on Earth, attracting over 5000 devout fans of Rockabilly, the distinctly American form of music. This years’ weekender marks the 5th annual festival to be held in Las Vegas.
Los High Tops will feature a set filled with original Rockabilly songs, plus a few original compositions from their Roots and Surf collection.
