Artist History
Jet Set Cutie came together in a basement in May of 2001 to play a friend’s house party. After the party they each had their own plans for the summer but promised to reunite come fall. Come September they made their public debut at Iowa City’s Q bar for a crowd of over 400 and did not disappoint. They have since played shows in Iowa City, Cedar Rapids and Chicago at such places as the Green Room, 3rd Street Live and Joy Blue. Having built a strong following in the Iowa City area, they are now ready to branch out across the Midwest.
The band just finished their first studio work in January of 2002, a six track e.p., with the help of John Svec of Minstrel Studios and the production expertise of roots rock icon David Zollo and have recently relocated to the Chicago area to make a commitment to the music they love. On the heels of a recent Chicago debut where more than 300 witnessed the rock spectacle known as Jet Set Cutie, the band is set on working its way into the hearts of the people.
