Artist description Sidestream is a trio from Michigan, based in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Ken, Mike, and Adam enjoy listening to many different types of music, yet have created a fresh sound from their different musical tastes.

Music Style Acoustic, Rock, with some blues, jazz, and funk flavors.

Musical Influences Everything from John Mayer, Santana, to Coltrane or SRV, to Dream Theater and Tool (the three of us listen to an ecclectic range of music)

Artist History Mike and Adam met in high school and played in a band based in Detroit, Michigan named "The Next Best Thing." Unforunately, Adam and Mike left for college in the fall of '99, and The NBT's long hiatus during the school semesters were longer then the actual breaks when they would come home and jam. Adam and Mike wanted to do something at school. They contacted their friend Ken who they had met in the dorms their first year at Western Michigan. Ken had been playing in and out of bands based in Adrian Michigan, since he was a young teenager in Highschool. The three began practicing regularly late November of 2001, and recorded a short demo cd over the winter break. The band is currently learning songs, passing the demo cd out around campus, and booking for gigs in the West Michigan area.
