Press Reviews
A LOCAL BAND THAT'S KEEPING THE FAITH (Buffalo News - June 17, 2001 TONI RUBERTO) -
It's been seen countless times on MTV and VH1: A young band is mobbed by fans to the point a security escort is needed. When it happened at the recent Kiss the Summer Hello concert, it wasn't for national stars like the Go-Gos, Ja Rule or 98 Degrees, but for the Niagara County rock quartet Seven Day Faith. The talented young act had fans lining up for four hours waiting to get autographs, photos, and whenever possible, a quick hug. A table was crushed, people were running...
MUSIC CHATTER (Buffalo News, August 11, 2000) "Definitely more of a straight-ahead rock group than LFO or The Backstreet Boys...the appealing young group is featured right along other hot bands in the current issue of J-14( magazine)."
KEEPING THE FAITH (Tonawanda News, July 2000) Bill Hedrick, General Manager of Buffalo Trax "SDF has good on-stage confidence and looks are on par with the best of each band from the radio showcase markets he said. "The one thing that these guys have done that a lot of young bands don't is pay attention to their music as well as their music as well as promotion, Hedrick said. The band's persistence at maintaining a professional looking website and keeping up CD sales are signs that they are serious about their careers, Hedrick said. "These guys are taking what they are doing seriously," he said. "They are aware of their image and live presentation. When you have these things, good things are going to happen."
SEVEN DAY FAITH TAKES LEAP TOWARDS STARDOM (Niagara Gazette, February 4, 2000) "Unlike many debut albums, "Life Says" is a collection of well written pop/rock songs that can stand on their own, and although the influences of other bands can be heard, Seven Day Faith has used those influences to help shape its own unique sound."
BUFFALO WAX (Buffalo News, February 4, 2000) "Here’s one of the year’s best pop records, a 12 song jewel by a charismatic young Niagara County quartet. The refreshing vitality that defines pop music is evident here with jangly guitars, soaring choruses and layers of harmonies. The vulnerability heard in "Open Up To Me" gives the band instant appeal. "The Way I Feel", "Hole In The Wall" and the effervescent "Controlling My Own Thoughts" carry the delightful Neil Finn/Crowded House sound."
BUFFALO BANDSTAND/True Believers (Buffalo News, January 28, 2000) "It’s like our album title says, if you start over thinking everything, you’ll drag yourself down. You can’t sit in your house hoping everything will work out," Bilson says. "If you keep waiting for life to be perfect you might never succeed. We want to make a living out of music. We’ll take a shot at it so we never say "what if."
