Artist History
Push To Release was formed by 4 guys from Hamden, CT in the middle of 2001. Their mission: Bring back the fun that had been missing in the shows they went to when they were younger. Combining a fun-loving, energetic, and youthful attitude with a sound reminiscent of the ska and punk bands they grew up with, Push to Release has certainly succeeded in their mission. Their stage presence and stage banter have captured the attention of youth across the state of Connecticut: few other bands have been to able to perform with as much infectious fun and charisma. In their short tenure as a band, they've played multiple times at such venues as the Webster Theatre, the El N Gee Club, the Tune Inn, and countless other small clubs across the state of Connecticut. Audiences rarely seem able to resist the temptation to dance, singalong, and have a good time at every PTR show. Since their appearance, they have opened for such notable acts as Catch22, Piebald, the Reunion Show, Lost City Angels, Reach The Sky, the Travoltas, Fake ID, Big D and the Kids Table, River City Rebels, the Distance, the Exit, In Pieces, Kings of Nuthin', DaMone, Wakefield, and Irreversible Slacks, and they have also made tight bonds with other local bands in their area. Push To Release's vital signs show no sign of slowing down, and they're well on their way to saving the world through rock n roll... |

Press Reviews
"The six young high schoolers (two solely dedicated to singing) kept the energy coming throughout the whole set. Jumping off the drumset, wandering about the stage, acting out the songs in the way one only does in the shower. The boys were goofy, but their non-stop banter was smarter. "It's not that we hate emo, we just hate the whining," one of the fellas chimed in before launching into a short thrashing number on the subject...."
