Artist History
As a conservatory drop-out turned design engineer, Mitch spent years recording
various demos and sitting in with groups in Los Angeles, Flagstaff and Phoenix, while
working corporate day jobs. All that time he and his sister were writing - literally hundreds
of songs in the 80's. In the early 90's, it became clear that Children of Fortune
needed to have their own record. Taking the experiences of recording and playing
on demos for other musicians, Mitch went into the studio and recorded All in My Head.
The first Children of Fortune offering.

Group Members
Drummer friends and studio drummers completed the basic quartet that includes
Mitch on Bass, Guitars and Keyboards (at different times). Sister Jill and niece Heather
provided backing vocals along with Vikki Rae Jordan, who was hired as a studio
vocalist. Bill Lieske came in and added some very cool sax parts on one of the tunes
after the recording was mixed and prior to mastering. |

Press Reviews
None in the media, but someone wrote "we know that your music is a visceral
expression of your soul and not a pedantic deluge of commercial flotsam."
Another person wrote: "Some of the jams are uplifting and make me feel like
Birdsong or Box of Rain" Someone else wrote "if you have to keep track 3,
put it last, I usually turn off a CD by then." |
