Artist History Born in The Evil Empire of USSR and raised by the parents with high music pedigree,Arthur Mountaniol had been exposed to and involved in music since his early childhood,playing trombone and trumpet in a number of jazz orchestras conducted by his father and also spending a lot of time with his mother going to Opera,Ballet and other concerts of Classic music. At the age of 15,Arthur started playing electric guitar inspired by bands like BEATLES,CREDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL,NAZARETH,etc.,but mostly by RITCHIE BLACKMORE(DEEP PURPLE),BRIAN MAY(QUEEN) and ROBERT FRIPP(KING CRIMSON).Also,just by listening to and singing along with the recordings of all those great singers like FREDDY MERCURY,IAN GILLAN,DAN McCAFFERTY,Arthur involuntarily turned into a great singer with lots of unique vocal possibilities(later in America,he even learned a shamanic throat singing). During his study at the Moscow Music College(1981-85),Arthur was working as a jazz guitarist in the ROSS-CONCERT VARIETY SHOW ORCHESTRA and playing in the Moscow avant-garde rock band NICOLAUS COPERNICUS while studying music composition,jazz,classic and avant-garde music and mastering piano. In 1984,he finally founded his own progressive rock band THE MOON PIERROT that performed at large rock-festivals and contests in Moscow,Odessa,Konigsberg and was a winner of the Moscow rock fest DEBUT-88 which led to signing a major record deal with MELODY RECORDS(1990)releasing their self-titled album THE MOON PIERROT 1 which was a great success nationwide. For Arthur's outstanding musical achievements,he was elected to be a member of the board of The Moscow Association POST ROCK founded by Russian jazz-rock guru ALEXEI KOZLOV. In 1992 Arthur moved to Germany and embarked on his solo career,but soon relocated to USA and released his first ,in his opinion clueless, 5 SONG DEBUT CD(into sheer hard rock) on J-Bird Records.The single MOON RIGHT was played on many US radio stations such as WEIM,WOYS,KATW,KYMN,WJDF,WLKG,WRZI,WSNU,WPXZ. In 2000 Arthur Mountaniol,having solidified his long-time dream of putting together all types of Rock'n'Roll with World Shamanizm ,recorded his masterpiece album SHAMANIA which made and still makes a real big difference in Los Angeles rock scene and probably in the World's.It is an unprecedentedly unique work that was highly appreciated by LA's giant rock radio station KLOS 95.5,Sunset Strip Radio and other media. Arthur Mountaniol's live performances as a one man band were so uniquely bizarre and original that they litterary shocked some portions of his audience and press. Now in Hollywood,Arthur Mountaniol is a full writer member of ASCAP and is exploring new possibilities of being his own label"THE MOON PIERROT REPUBLIC".He's just finished his new album MASTER OF ECSTASY and been offered a Music Licensing Agreement with Summer Salt Entertainment/Orpheus/EMI to have his music featured in Motion Pictures,TV,etc.
