Artist History
BIOG
Without a clue are an imaginative 4 piece rock band from Suffolk, East Anglia UK..
Concisting of 4 young lads with an unmistakable passion for their music. An uplifting infectious blend of melodious twin guitars mixed with funk bass and drums. The songs are lively emotional and powerful with thought feeling and effort going into this bands creative side. From the pure rock of HIGH featuring signed artist Paul Gillings on Harmonica to the emotional crescendo build up of Insecurity this band show they are serious about what they do and should be watched very closely.
The band recorded their debut E.P. in Nov 99. An experimentation process that proved successful. With a great response in shop sales "No Experience Necassary" was a local hit. With magazine reviews in music mag Kool and fantastic local radio cover including air time of the music and an hour show interviewing the band. This forced sales to rocket. By the time the band started to gig live as a 4 piece there was an unmistakable passion that rocked any venue they cared to play.
After time out for writing and a slight travelling expedition on snowboard round europe by Trev "Without A Clue" were back up to their old tricks. A Host of local venues including The Brickmakers Club, The Green Jack Brewery and outdoor festivals were on the cards and the band enjoyed sell out gigs at many of their venues. This demand seemed to make the band realise moreso there was a following for their infectious rock and to keep it growing in ever increasing circles it was clearly time for the band to release a new E.P.
Exactly 364 days since the last recording Without A Clue went into the studios and recorded "Maybe Later". A much stronger more powerful band were seen on this recording. Recorded Live this disk contains High ( a powerful rock track featuring Paul Gillings on Harmonica) and Hangin on... ( a real festival summer track). Again sales in local record shops were fantastic and more gigs came. Again the band were asked back to the radio to converse on their new recording and tell a few tales of what had happened since the last recording. Proving popular with the radio audience for their excentricities the band enjoyed many phone in questions and comments.
With interest from a major U.S. label the lads worked on yet more ideas before deciding it is now time to record again. After 2 years the band feel they have found their feet and the direction in which they wish to musically travel.
With yet more ideas coming from this band on a daily basis this is a space to watch. Their fan base may being growing daily but this band will be pushing and pushing till they are where they should be..................
Trev, Chris, James and Mav look forward to making you stamp your feet bang your head and generally dig what we do......
