Artist description
"Sunrise Highway" is a band of Songwriters that sing,
write, and play their own Songs. We exemplify many styles within the Pop
and Rock music genre. We have a sound, but one that is not repetitive.

 |
Music Style
Our style exemplifies that of the old mixing with the new. We merge the sounds of the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's and weave them into our music giving it a fresh modern Pop/Rock sound. |

Artist History
"Sunrise Highway" started at "Song Island Studios" in
Center Moriches in the winter of 98'. Doug Kelly started recording what was
originally going to be a solo album, from there they recorded 14 songs on
the "Sunrise Highway" CD. Doug, however, moved to New Zealand, and did not
return until the Winter of 2001. Upon Doug's return "Sunrise Highway" then
added keyboardist Mike Syrett and drummer Jim Petty. We have since been on
"WBAB's" homegrown, and were the "WBAB" and New York representative in the
national "Win a record Deal contest" sponsored by "Rockstar2k". The band's
CD has received rave reviews from "Newsday" and "Good Times Magazine", also
Doug Kelly was recently on cablevisions channel 70 giving the story of the
band on "The Riverhead Show". The band also organized a "WTC" benefit at
the Brickhouse brewery where $540 was raised.
