Artist description Meringue is confusing, rocking, swinging, freaking, screaming, laughing and crossing over like hell. It is impossible to describe our music with one word. All kinds of influences can be heard (and with that I mean ALL kinds) in our music. Music critics compared us to the likes of Frank Zappa, Mr. Bungle, Captain Beefheart, Steely Dan and more uncomparible artists.

Artist History Meringue started in 1996. In 1997 we released our first, untitled, demo. In 1999 this was followed up by the cd "Es geht los", which brought Meringue some local credits. Our last album "Sex & Hair, The Speedpop Musical" saw the light at the end of 2001. It's a conceptual album about a tragedy that strikes a German nudist camp. It got positive reviews in all major national music magazines.
