Artist History
Tranessence was formed back in '99 when Dave (guitar), Rich (guitar), and Zagel (bass) met up with drummer Ray and guitarist/singer Danny. The band practiced frequently at Roxy Studios in Queens, NY and recorded a whole bunch of demo tapes that were given out as samplers to people. Soon after, Danny was kicked out of the band due to various conflicts and drug related issues.. He was quickly replaced by Mike D. who sang for the band for the next few months. the band was then called Crimson Ghoust. Several more tapes were recorded at Roxy Studios but due to the band's disappointment with Mike's vocals, he was also asked to leave.. After failing to find another vocalist, Dave took up the singing and the band started over as a quartet then called Dreamscape. In early 2001, Dreamscape went on a short hiatus and got back together during the summer as Tranessence and recorded their first 7 song self titled CD. As 2002 is starting, it is looking to be a very promising year for Tranessence. |
