Artist description
The Pillow Cases are led by a musical visionary who simply chooses to be known as Ian. He is the only official member, but there is a certain group of people that tend to join him in his recordings. They don't really fit into one category, but if they ever become big, they might try to get a bit more focused. Until then, creative energy must be released. Ian says that one thing he really appreciates is creativity. While The Pillow Cases aren't exactly the most creative (or musically inclined) band around, one can't deny that their music has a certain distinctive quality.
"If our music becomes boring, then we are failing," says Ian. "One thing I can't stand about today's music is that it's so boring and unoriginal. We need more stuff that's catchy, yet doesn't come off as being fake. Stuff that tells you that there's something substantial behind it."
Though not yet listed on MP3.com, all the early work is for a self-titled debut, which will be released whenever Ian thinks it should be.
"I hope you'll like it," he says. "I think that there might be something for everyone."
Yes, this little band from Virginia looks to be the future of music. |
