Artist History They have been called a progressive funk rock band fusing latin with hard rock, beatnick jazz and hip-hop-influenced guitar. Initiated as the brainchild of drummer Derek Jaimes, Lingo is comprised of experienced Minneapolis musicians, all of whom were discovered and/or introduced through classified ads in the local alternative newspaper.
