It's hard to put him into just one category.

    Artist History
F.J. Murphy, or Frankie is from Pascagoula MS. It is a town not far from Biloxi, New Orleans, or Mobile. He started playing guitar at age 17 and was in 1 unsuccessful band Panic Zone, who only played parties. Then he joined Morbid Annie and started to play out some. After that fell through he was in Lesbian Butterknife, a wierd alt-metal band, that didn't last long. Then he moved to Laurel MS, a town near Hattiesburg, and got involved with the music scene there pretty heavy. He helped found a relatively successful band called Free Moral Agency. That band ended when it almost got signed to an indie label, and the bassist and the drummer quit. Then Frankie got married and had a child. After about a year, He was contacted by an old bandmate to fill his bands lead guitar position. It was only a cover band, but Frankie moved his family back to the gulf coast to join it and make some money. That band mutated into a very successful Third World Dictators. Although unsigned, they played many shows, from Florida to Louisiana, and put out a great demo. His bassist and good friend quit in the middle of all this. The fact that he was the lyricicst and vocalist to, changed the band completely. Frankie took over vocals, and wrote 20 new songs and changed the name of the band to Doppleganger. They went from Heavy Metal to evil Black Metal. They amassed a big following, but the new bassist had big problems. Among them was heavy drugs and an affair with Frankie's ex-wife. That ended the last successful band of Frankie's carreer in 1997. Since that time he produced his own full length album of instrumentals. In 2003 he was in a short lived band called Brokenstate in Atlanta where he now resides
