Artist History
True Blue was formed in early 2001 by veteran musicians, three of whom had played together previously in the Vern Williams Band. Del Williams and Ed Neff both played with Vern for 15 years, during which time they recorded Bluegrass from the Gold Country on Rounder Records, and two records on Arhoolie with the legendary country singer Rose Maddox. True Blue's banjo player, Avram Siegel, is widely regarded as one of the most versatile and innovative banjo players around. He also performs with the Kathy Kallick Band. |
