Artist History
The threesome first got together in 1998 after Ahlon and Showplace (who are the Souls of the Decade) grew tired of shopping their demos. The duo added Blueblack who was a friend of Showplace, and quickly began work on their first release titled Scholars and Sense. With their initial release the group gained a great amount of exposure with consistent college airplay, as well as major radio play from WPGC 95.5 FM Washington
D.C., Hot 97.1 FM hip-hop show titled "Future Flavors" with Pete Rock and Marley Marl in New York City, WERQ 92.3 FM in Baltimore, Maryland, WJMH 102.1 Jams FM in
Greensboro, North Carolina and The Bobbito Hip-Hop Show on Hot 97.1 FM in
New York City. The CD along with their dynamic stage presence helped establish them as one of the hottest hip-hop acts on the East Coast.
