Artist description
Ramos, or Dirty Red da Peterman as you may know him, has been an influential player in the rap game on both the South and West Coast since the early 90's. Growing up in the Bay Area of California, he was influenced by the likes of Too Short and E-40. After free-styling with artists from across the country, Red began developing a style of rhyme that is ever changing and can easily compete with any regional genre of rap. After moving to the South in ‘92, Red began doing his own footwork by selling his home-made tapes across the Southeast. In 1999, after realizing that financial success would be inevitable with an established record label he joined the ranks of a now defunct label and learned that friends and politics don't mix-especially in this dog-eat-dog rap game.
His label, Synnister Entertainment, is about to blow up with the help of a local street team and the backing of local club DJ's. He is the self proclaimed "Mouth of the South" and is looking for the nationwide exposure that will catapult his career. His lyrics are a mix of heart- felt testimonials and the crude reality of the streets. The club favorites "NO TIME" and "FU** THE COPS" tell stories that a many urban youths can relate. His image is marketable and his lyrics shall prove to be legendary. With every breath, he engages the listener into his world. |
