Artist History
The concept of Method 6 was first launched in the summer of 1999, when singer Tony Parker and rhythm guitarist, Matt Williams, first came together for collaboration. Then located in Seattle WA, the duo found that the musical climate of the region was not ready for the progressive rock sound that was to become Method 6. Frustrated and ready to acheive success quickly, Matt and Tony relocated to Los Angeles in the summer of 2000. After spending several months honing their own songwriting skills and shoring up the concepts and foundations of the project, lead guitarist, John Nevolo came on board in the early spring of 2001. John, a veteran player of the local and national rock scene, quickly rounded out the songwriting core and brought the group a classic well-defined rock guitar sound. The three-some continued their writing through the summer adding some impressive rock songs to their repertoire. Drummer Jay Gravatt was added to the line up shortly thereafter. The quartet began to polish their sound, as well as their live stage show by hosting numerous parties throughout the fall. Method 6 was quickly defining their sound and themselves. |
