    Artist History
Dwight Armstrong better known as Henna-C, first started his rap career in 1989 in Benton Harbor, MI, with a group called N.F.T.H. (Niggas Fuckin the Hoes). Shortly after the group was formed Henna-C found himself feeling out the place with N.F.T.H. Henna-C moved on to pursue different things. After his demise from N.F T.H fate played a role in Henna-C hooking up with a childhood friend. This friend was Titonian Wallace a.k.a RIP. With this fateful union Wikit Kimistry was formed. At the time I went by the alias Mr. Quinn. In 1990, Mr. Quinn and RIP went to work. While no albums were done, many tracks were laid, created from instrumentals of other artists. The only people that heard these early creations were family members and schoolmates. Encouragement and inspiration came from all. The writing and dropping songs continued for six years, until RIP left for college. Wikit Kimistry was no more. After a period of struggling, Mr. Quinn left Benton Harbor, and moved to Pontiac, MI, uncertain about his rapping career. Mr. Quinn fell into a tailspin. With RIP at school Mr. Quinn hung up his pen and pad to move on with his life. But the game wouldn’t let the young MC rest. After a family member heard a tape of Mr. Quinn and RIP rapping, word quickly spread about Henna-C’s ability to flow. Through this family member, yet another connection was made. In 1997, Mr. Quinn was asked by Lester Terry and Fruqwa Miller to join the group 4-Life of What They Hittin Foe Records. At this time I changed my alias from Mr. Quinn to Henna-C. 4-Life didn’t do very many songs but did do several live performances. From 1997-2000 the group went through many changes. While still a member of 4-Life Henna-C once again found and hooked up with RIP, in 1999. Henna-C and RIP began reminiscing about the old days and speaking of current projects. Finally in late 2000, after numerous creative differences Henna-C left 4-Life. This left him open to pursue projects with RIP. RIP asked Henna-C to do a guest appearance on a song called The Whole 9, off the RIP The Next Level Album. RIP and Henna-C decided that this new project would not be a Wikit Kimistry reunion, but that Henna-C would just do a solo project in collaboration with RIP and Soultaker Records. After the song was completed the fire was still there between the old childhood friends. RIP and his label mates were blown away with the energy Henna-C brought to the tracks. Shortly afterwards, RIP asked Henna-C to join Soultaker Records and Henna-C became a part of the New Breed family. After a long 13-year career that brought many trials and tribulations for Henna-C the time has finally come. The world can now experience what fire and energy Henna-C can erupt onto tracks. With Soultaker Records Henna-C’s career will reach new heights.
